Course Terms and Conditions: A booking is secured on receipt of a £150 deposit made to Scuba Blue.
Once this deposit is received, it confirms your place on the course and allows us to send you the learning materials. This is a non-refundable deposit. The full balance is to be made no later than one week before the start date of the course. If the full payment has not been received prior to the course, we reserve the right to cancel the course.
Students will be required to complete a medical questionnaire along with the relevant Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Form. You will not be able to complete any in water training until these forms are completed. If any of the answers on the medical form are “Yes” a doctor may be required to sign the form. All forms must be completed and signed by the relevant parties before the start of the course. If all forms are not completed by the start date of the course, you may be required to rebook which may incur a rebooking fee of £100 per session.
All students must agree to study independently and complete the specific learning requirements of the course before the start of the course. If a student has not completed the required learning, you may be required to rebook onto a later course, this may incur a rebooking fee of £100 per session. If a student cancels within 7 days of the course date, a rebooking fee of £100 per session may apply.
Failure to arrive on time for any portion of the course may result in the student needing to rebook onto a later course, this may incur a rebooking fee of £100 per session. If a student is unable to complete the course for any reason, they will be offered the option of booking onto a later course. This may incur a rebooking fee of £100 per session.
If a student cancels any course within 24hrs of the start of the course, or fails to attend any subsequent days of that course, the full price of the course is forfeited.
With regard to DSD courses, all the above applies but the rebooking fee will be £25 per person.
Scuba diving courses are not ‘Guaranteed pass’ courses. If a student does not reach the requirements of the course or if the instructor does not feel the student has reached the required level, the student will be offered the chance to take parts of the course again. This may incur additional charges.
With all our courses, kit hire is included. Normal wear and tear is accepted, but you are responsible for your kit for the duration of the course and if your mistreatment of kit leads to damage, the cost of repairs will be your responsibility. This is echoed in our kit rental agreement for those hiring kit separately to courses at the daily/weekly rates.
Dive Trip Terms and Conditions: A trip booking is confirmed on full payment of the charter in question. If you are unable to attend the booked charter, you are able to check if Scuba Blue have any reserves for that trip. If there are reserves, we will put you in touch with the reserve, it is your responsibility to arrange terms with them. You may also fill the space with a diver of the equivalent level of proficiency to yourself. The name of any replacement diver must be submitted to Scuba Blue together with proof of the replacements dive certification. We reserve the right to reject that name if, in our opinion, the replacement would not be suitable for that particular dive. If no replacement is found, no refunds will be given.
